For added safety, the grips have integrated finger guards to help reduce the risk of accidental contact with exposed metal parts. Constructed from drop-forged, high carbon steel, which is known for exceptional durability, the high-leverage design provides 40% more cutting power. The tool's curved cutting jaw is laser hardened to provide accurate cuts without distortion on wire and cable up to 2/0 copper and 4/0 aluminum. Built to withstand the toughest job site conditions, this impact-resistant tool meets ASTM F1505-01 and IEC 60 900 standards, complies with OSHA 1910.335 regulations and NFPA 70E standards, and is UL and VDE classified and certified.
