CAT 6 Feed-Thru Connectors & Strain Relief Boots (10/EA/PK)
Product Description
- For CAT6 twisted pair cables with jacket diameters of 6.0mm – 7.0mm
- 6.5mm diameter cable opening
- Includes 10 CAT6 Feed-Thru Modular Plugs and 10 6.5mm diameter boots
- Prevents broken connector tabs and snagging while extending connector life
- Minimizes cable bends that can reduce data speed and result in data loss
- Dampens cable movement and vibrations that can result in premature connector failure
- Feed-Thru design simplifies assembly and termination
- Modular Plug maximum conductor insulation of 0.041”
Strain relief boots can be used when a new patch cable is being made. The boots need to be placed onto the cable before both connector ends are terminated. The boots help to protect the modular plug body, especially the latch tab, from external handling damage. The strain relief feature on the boots helps to maintain the cable bend radius and limits conductor movement inside of the connector that can lead to continuity failures over time.
Instructions
- Slide boot on the end of an unterminated CAT6/6A cable. At least one end of the cable needs to be unterminated.
- Install and terminate RJ45 Feed-Thru connector per connector instructions.
- Slide the boot over the back of connector so connector tab is partially covered by the hood dome of the boot.
- Boots are reusable if cable is disassembled.
