The IDEAL® National Championship presented 'Battle of the Schools,' a competition to determine the top apprentice in Canada. Apprentices from across the country competed in qualifying events held at schools and union halls. The country was divided into six regions, and the winning apprentice in each region and their school was awarded their share of over $25,000 in cash and prizes.

WHAT WAS AT STAKE?
- The top student at each event received a prize pack consisting of a Battle of the Schools t-shirt and a Tuff-Tote™ leather tool pouch.
- At the end of the season, the fastest student in each of our six Canadian regions won a $1,000 scholarship and a custom Muskoka chair. Their school also received $2,500 worth of IDEAL tools and supplies.
- The overall fastest Canadian student and overall fastest Canadian IBEW apprentice each got an additional $1,000 scholarship.
